The main area of interest for Francis Cairns (Publications) is Latin and Greek Classics, including ancient history.
Most classics titles have been published within one of four series:
- ARCA (Classical and Medieval Texts, Papers and Monographs)
- PLLS = Papers of the Langford Latin Seminar, previously Papers of the Liverpool Latin Seminar and Papers of the Leeds International Latin Seminar. (Volumes of PLLS are published within ARCA)
- CCP = Collected Classical Papers
- LGT = Latin and Greek Texts
Outwith these series is:
- Learning Latin (J.G. Randall) - an introductory text-book aimed at adult learners.
Francis Cairns (Publications) also holds the remaining stock of a series from the Classics Department at Bologna University: Studi pubblicati dall'istituto di filologia classica, Università di Bologna.
